FilterMag Transmission Magnet

The transmission filter magnet is a square magnet that mounts to the transmission pan and is intended to collect any loose metal shavings or debris that may be floating around in your system. This is another product that is designed and intended as a “preventative maintenance” item and can add to the longevity and life of your transmission. Since the vehicle we are testing and installing it on is a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has 222, 000 miles on it any preventative maintenance at this point will be imperative in getting more mileage and use out of the stock transmission.

We took these tires on our 12,000 mile road trip around the country wheeling them in all parts of the country while getting the chance to test how they did on the highway as well. The tires were surprisingly quiet on the highway which was nice to not have to listen to the howl and growl of a tire and at the same time rode smooth and comfortable. We had the first chance to test them off-road in Texas while attending Jeep Jamborees Texas Spur. The conditions were wet with flash flooding, we ran the tires at manufacturers recommended air pressure and they did great on the wet, granite rock we put them up against as well as the sandy creek beds that had more than a foot of running water and never broke traction.

The Hero by Go Pro is an incredibly small camera that is designed for sport use and comes with a variety of mounts and capabilities for filming and taking pictures in almost any outdoor or sport type adventure.

We had the opportunity to test this camera on our cross country adventure while we traveled 12,000 miles in a 2 month period hitting 7 different Jeep Jamborees across the country. The size of the camera is amazing in regards to how it functions; resembling a child’s toy of a “key chain” type camera it captures surprisingly high quality video and equally good still shots.

 

These storage totes can be attached to roll bars, grab handles as well as the door handles so they are incredibly universal on their application and can be used as a tool bag for the small items. They are perfect for holding things like tires gauges and deflators and even patch kits in case you have to grab it and go to another vehicle for trail prep or repairs it right there and portable to take it all in one, convenient carry tote.

The Padded Headrest Cover is that accessory you didn’t know you needed until you experience it for yourself. Headrest Pad is made from 600 x 300 Denier Polyester, PVC back, DWR, Black Laminated to 1/4" grey foam & black tricot with 1/2" open cell polyurethane foam pad.

When it comes to transporting bikes and other adventure equipment a Jeep doesn’t always have enough room to fit everything in depending on the adventure you’re planning. Enter Yakima, when it comes to getting our gear to the destination we rely on a transport system as much as we rely on our Jeep to get us where we want to go.

So many adventures and expeditions require traveling to get to the point of beginning whether you plan a snowboarding or skiing trip, mountain biking or a weekend of kayaking you have to transport your gear with you. In many cases these items don’t fit into the vehicle with you therefore you’re left trying to find a way to transport it and which company, brand or rack is the best one or choice to go with.

Yet another amazing Misch Product!  These guys have really cornered the market on functionally cool Jeep products. These armrests were such a great addition we felt they are well worth showing and promoting the “next generation”. The install on these is like all of the other products Misch makes…. Easy enough for any “do it yourselfer”! Follow along with us on the install. 

Simple in design and simple on the install this pad mounts quickly and easily utilizing four torque-head screws on the side of the center console. Remove the four screws, place the pad on top with the flaps hanging down, line up the eyelets and replace the factory screws. Now you have a nice pad to rest on and it blends right into the interior and looks as good as it functions providing that extra cushion.

Misch’s trash receptacle fits and locks into place in the rear cup holder of the 2007 and newer Jeep Wrangler JK. This bucket fits and looks like it belongs in the Jeep and is a clean, convenient way to keep those little items headed for the garbage from rolling around on the floor under your feet.  

Although it was designed as a place to keep your trash, it could also be used as a  convenient place to store anything from small tools or winch controls to maps and magazines.

Nomad Portable Pressure Washer

Nomad has a product that is just the right size for packing into the trailer or Jeep in order to do a quick pressure wash on the trail or at camp if necessary to get the mud or dirt out of the way before starting a trail fix, or just for a simple clean up job. This would be fantastic for cleaning out a mud-clogged radiator that is causing overheating on the trail...I'm sure we've all been there before!  This neat little unit is not much different in size than a five gallon fuel can and is impressive in design and function.

Misch 4x4 armrests are Jeep solid, very comfortable and serve as door pulls. Available to fit Jeep CJ, YJ, TJ, Rubicon and Unlimited models’ OEM metal doors without drilling. Simply remove the OEM door pull-strap. Install the armrest frame using the same screw holes. Install the cushion and adjust position fore and aft to suit.
