This Jeep has been completely restored, bumper to bumper. I have the original AMC 304, rebuilt and runs perfectly. I have upgraded the distributor to HEI for reliability, but still have the Prestolite for keepsake. No aftermarket body parts. The body is in perfect condition with a brand new paint job, AMC Fire Engine Red, the Jeep's original color w/ clear coat. Not a scratch on or underneath. I have the original OEM decals replaced. For safety, there is a professional full roll cage, powdercoated as well as 5pt Simpson harnesses. I also have an 8,000lb winch w/ high-lift mounted to the front OEM bumper for recovery. I have both 1/2 doors and full doors, bikini top and full Tiger Top...brand new. The tires are 95% and all wheels matching w/ spare. The interior is bestop w/ rhino lined tub. All gauges work perfectly. This 5 is absolutely beautiful and will go well with a collector or for a very reliable hunting/off road rig. I would not hesitate to drive this CJ across the country. Educated jeep enthusiasts understand a 3 year run in limited numbers. 32,500 original miles on 6 cylinder, original upholstery, original Jeep hubcaps, seat belts, 3 speed with overdrive/gear splitter stock. New springs (4), tires, shocks, master cylinder, starter, exhaust system. Body is in very good condition. Was rust on both front floorboards, which I cleaned up and plated. Some very minor body work and a professional paint job would make this a collectors item with value. Intended to finish it off myself, but plans changed. I purchased this jeep from the original owner. Original bumpers front and back with custom winch (pto) bumper built over original front bumper. The original spare tire mount on side of jeep in excellent condition, first owner converted spare to rear tire mount. Mechanically and driving wise, extremely sound and smooth. It has been meticulously designed, driven and cared for and performs fantastic whether it is on the highway at 70 mph, crawling up a mountain or driving through a swamp. Point it where you want to go and it will take you there with absolute reliability. I have owned dozens of Jeeps and this one is by far the most versatile Jeep I have ever owned or driven. No rust, no dents, no leaks, runs like a Swiss watch, sounds good, drives great and gets a lot of attention wherever it goes. I really hate to sell this one but I rarely use it anymore and need to make space for the next project. This one must go to a good home. |

Absolutely no rust beyond what would be VERY minor surface rust around some minor scratches. New windshield installed about 1 year ago. All gauges work, heater and defrost work great, new fuel sending unit installed in tank about a year ago. Original front and rear black vinyl seats with NO tears. Original black between seat unit, but I don't have a key that fits it. Original Jeep logo'd key. Original black carpet that covers front floorboard area Whitco Spice soft top in great condition, a couple of minor cuts in rear and side window have been well repaired. Original wheels with 5 pretty new 32" Hankook Dynapro MT's one that has never seen the road.
